Held in Two

Directed By: Carly Vanderheyden

Choreography: Carly Vanderheyden in collaboration with the dancers

Music: "F Major" by Hania Rani

Dancers: Lillian Beeler and Claire Bryant

Note: "Held in Two" explores a journey between two bodies passing in and out of each others' orbit. This piece is inspired by moments of connection and the residue that stays with us as we continue on our own paths, asking how much of our being is truly our own versus how much is a patchwork silhouette of the people with have connected with. This work is inspired by a larger ensemble work premiered by the Saint Louis Dance Theatre Trainees in February 2026 at the Grandel Theatre in St. Louis, MO.
